#ArtsAppropriated : Classical Music Used to Cover Israeli Apartheid

twitter.useme.chamber

The Israel State Twitter is at it again today trying hard to appropriate arts to whitewash its apartheid image.  Who knows how the World Federation of International Music Competition was lured to meet this year in Israel, but they will convene there in 3 days for a General Assembly.  They probably did not know they would become the latest trophy on apartheid’s shelf.

This latest tweet is a perfect example of how Israel uses artists for devious purposes.  The only history made here is one of shame.

In April, the World Federation of International Music Competitions based in Genève,  Switzerland announced that The 57th General Assembly of the WFIMC will take place in Tel Aviv (Israel) on May 9-12, 2013.  The WFIMC General Assembly will cover broad-ranging presentations and reports on activities of the past year and may elect a new Committee.
